The Art of Lucknawi Chikankari, Draped in Grace
Each saree in this collection is a testament to Lucknow's centuries-old tradition of hand embroidery. Skilled karigars work thread by thread — using fine mul cotton, pure georgette, organza, and chanderi silks — to create motifs that breathe, shimmer, and endure. Many pieces are further enriched with mukaish, cut dana, sequins, badla, and pearl work, adding luminosity to every fold.
Fabrics & Handwork
Our sarees are woven and embroidered on fabrics chosen for their drape and longevity. Pure georgette lends a fluid, weightless fall. Organza offers crispness with a subtle sheen. Mul cotton breathes beautifully through warm seasons. Chikankari stitches — shadow, tepchi, murri, phanda, and more — are worked entirely by hand, making every piece unique and unrepeatable.
Blouse Piece Included
Every saree in this collection comes with a matching unstitched blouse piece, allowing you to get it stitched to your exact measurements and preferred neckline. We recommend coordinating the blouse embroidery or fabric with the saree border for a cohesive look.
Caring for Your Saree
To preserve the handwork, dry clean your chikankari saree for the first few washes. If hand washing, use cold water and a mild detergent — never wring or scrub the embroidered sections. Store folded in a muslin cloth away from direct sunlight to retain the fabric's colour and thread integrity.
Choosing by Occasion
For weddings and festive events, choose pieces with allover cut dana, sequins, or mukaish work on georgette or organza — the Ruhani Masterpiece and Suhaan heirloom sarees are ideal. For daytime functions, mehndis, and semi-formal gatherings, our fine allover chikankari sarees on lighter fabrics offer elegance without heaviness. For everyday grace, a clean mukaish organza saree pairs beautifully with simple gold jewellery and a solid blouse.
